Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Perrysville, Ind. (CNS) -- Homer Clyde Hodges, 83, of Perrysville, died at 6 a. m. Saturday (Aug. 26, 1967) at the Rudisill Nursing Home in Covington where he had made his home since 1964. Mr. Hodges was born on Oct. 8, 1883 at Martinsville, the son of Charles and Emma Cowden Hodges. He married Della Nicholas on Sept. 4, 1919. She preceded him in death a few years. He was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church near Covington and the Unity Lodge No. 344 F&AM at Perrysville. Mr. Hodges was a retired employe of the C&EI Railroad. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Blanche Baker of Huntsville, Ill., and two nieces. Services have been set for 2 p.m. Monday at the Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington. Burial will be in Hicks Cemetery at Perrysville. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.  --typed by Walt W
